Think back to when you first heard about Masonry. Was it by randomly walking through the doors of a Lodge? Did you first hear about the Masons in a movie or on TV? Did you first read about Freemasons in a book?
Probably Not!
According to extensive research conducted by Grand Lodge, most people hear about Masonry from personal connections with friends or family members who are themselves Masons. No, we are not allowed to solicit members, but neither are we barred from talking about Masonry. In fact, we are encouraged to do so.
In order to help give you some good talking points, as well as keep you from straying out of safe territory, the Grand Lodge of California has recently published this new Guide to talking about Masonry called “Opening the Door.” Click on the image to the right, or Click Here to download and read through this useful tool.
